Robert A. Moidel, M.D.

Dr. Moidel has been a rheumatologist with Rheumatology Associates, Ltd., since 1981.   He is a member of the consulting staff at Abington Health- Lansdale Hospital and Einstein Medical Center Montgomery.

Dr. Moidel completed his B.A. at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.  He received his M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.  He completed his residency in internal medicine at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, IL and his fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI.  His fellowship research projects were published in peer-reviewed journals.

 Dr. Moidel is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and is a member of the Philadelphia Rheumatism Society, the Montgomery Medical Society and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.    He has served as the Medical Secretary for the Rheumatology Certification and Re-certification Examination Subcommittees of the American Board of Internal Medicine, and on the committee which created the American College of Rheumatology Continuing Assessment, Review, and Evaluation Program.  He has been a primary investigator for numerous phase 2, 3 and 4 pharmaceutical company-sponsored studies, involving rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
